Automotive Machining Online TrainingAERA offers a comprehensive online training program (not just a test) leading to diploma-quality certificates in Cylinder Heads and Engine Machinist. Technicians who successfully earn either certificate will hold proof that they have a professional understanding of automotive machining fundamentals, measuring tools, shop safety, fasteners, engine theory, engine diagnosis, engine disassembly, component cleaning, inspection, crack detection and repair, component reconditioning and cylinder head and block resurfacing.
Tech & Skills Regional ConferencesRegional conferences provide technical presentations and unique shop skills instruction to all who attend. Along with the outlined technical programs, leading manufacturers of engine building/rebuilding tools, supplies, services, parts and machinery are invited to attend these conferences. Meeting suppliers in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to begin lifelong relationships that will help you prosper.
Grants to attend Tech & Skills Regional ConferencesThe Engine Rebuilders Educational Foundation (EREF) will provide grant money to students enrolled in engine rebuilding classes who register for a Tech & Skills Regional Conference. The scholarship is limited to FIVE selected students each regional conference. This amount, up to $175 per student, will include the registration fee and can be used to pay for gas, hotel and meals. The student must attend and will be reimbursed after providing us with receipts, after the seminar is held. The student is requested to get an instructor signature on the form to verify attendance at a member school.
