AERA Congratulates David Roland, the First to Hold a Cylinder Head and Engine Machinist Certificate
David Roland, a professor of Automotive Technology at Macomb Community College, was first to complete the AERA online training course for Cylinder Head and Engine Machinist certificates. Mr. Roland did it in record time by completing stringent requirements in less than four months.
Mr. Roland expressed a strong desire for this type of meaningful program that not only tests one’s knowledge of engine machining and assembly but teaches and reinforces what a technician may already understand about his or her chosen profession.
David leads the way for many other dedicated engine machinists interested in proving what they know. AERA currently has 21 technicians in the online training program. If interested in adding to your resume of engine experience, contact AERA at 815-526-7600, extension 202 and ask for Karen Tendering — or email karen@aera.org. Karen can answer all your questions and when ready, register you to begin the program.
